AOV over £4,000Platform ROAS is the number that flatters. Profit is the number that pays you.
Most agencies stop at the dashboard: creative, media buying, a monthly ROAS report, done. But reported ROAS counts revenue the platform claims credit for, at whatever margin, from whoever was going to buy anyway. It can rise while the business gets worse.
So we start somewhere else. Before spending anything we work out what is actually capping growth, because often it isn't the ads. Then we report on what it costs to acquire a new customer and what that customer is worth.
The verdict
A free call and a short review of your account and numbers. We tell you whether paid media can work for your business at your margins, and if not, what the real constraint is. Sometimes the answer is no. That's the point.
Done with you
An eight-week install of the system, working directly with you or your in-house team. Diagnosis, account and tracking rebuild, a creative testing system, a weekly call and direct access throughout. You run it after. Fixed fee.
Done for you
We run the system as your growth partner, judged on new-customer profit rather than reported ROAS. Retainer plus performance. Capped at five partners at any one time, because the work is done by the person you met on the call.
Not sure which?
That is what the call is for. Answer nine questions and you will know within thirty minutes which of the three applies to you, including if the answer is none of them.
Every first call ends one of three ways.
No proposal deck, no discovery sequence, no three-week nurture. One call on your numbers, then a straight answer about which of these fits, or whether anything does.

You deal with Stuart, not a junior account manager.
Twenty years in paid acquisition, ecommerce and lead generation, on the client side, the agency side, and as an owner.
It started in 2005, building and running his own ecommerce sites, learning what actually sells by spending his own money on traffic long before it was anyone else's budget on the line. That is still the lens: whether the spend pays for itself, not whether the dashboard looks good.
While his experience covers a broad range of sectors, he has developed particular expertise in consumer brands selling products people eat, drink or take, from premium spirits and beverages to food, wellness and everyday essentials.
Strategy, media buying and reporting are led by Stuart personally, not handed down to a junior team. Specialist support is brought in where it adds value, with complete clarity over who is doing what.

What does McLeod Media actually do?
Paid media for consumer brands, run as one system with performance creative, conversion and measurement rather than as four separate suppliers. The difference is where it starts: the constraint gets diagnosed before anything is spent, and everything is reported against new-customer profit rather than the number the ad platform claims credit for.
What kind of brands do you work with?
Six and seven-figure consumer brands, with particular depth in products people eat, drink or take: premium spirits and beverages, food, supplements and wellness. As a rough guide, brands already spending £20k a month or more on ads.
Who don't you work with?
Brands spending under £20k a month on ads, because at that level our fee is a tax on the budget rather than an investment in it. Agencies looking for white-label delivery. And products where the margin cannot carry the cost of a customer, which no amount of media buying fixes. If that is you, we will say so on the call rather than after the invoice.
How much does it cost and how do engagements work?
Done with you is a fixed fee over eight weeks. Done for you is a retainer plus performance, judged on new-customer profit. Notice is 30 days either side after the initial term. Exact figures depend on spend and scope, and are agreed before any work starts.
Which ad platforms do you run?
Meta-led, with Google and TikTok added where the maths justifies it. Retention flows across email, SMS and WhatsApp can sit inside the same engagement, so acquisition and repeat purchase are managed together.
Do you produce the ad creative as well?
Yes. Statics and UGC-style video are produced in-house using an AI-accelerated workflow, shipped in structured batches on a monthly testing cadence agreed at kick-off. The point is a faster learning rate, not a higher output count.
Where are you based, and do you work with brands outside Scotland?
McLeod Media is founder-led from Glasgow and works with brands across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and India. Everything runs remotely, with a monthly review call.
How quickly should we expect to see results?
The first weeks are diagnosis and build, so early signal usually shows in weeks two to six. Meaningful movement in CAC and contribution typically takes one to three months, depending on spend level, creative volume and how much conversion work the site needs. Anyone promising faster than that is guessing.
Who will I be dealing with day to day?
Stuart McLeod. Media buying and creative are not handed to a junior account manager. The person who runs the account is the person you meet on the first call.
